We would like to invite you to a multi-fellowship 12 Step Recovery event hosted by Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton, to be held in Saint Augustine’s Arts & Events Centre, Brighton, BN1 6EA from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm on Friday 1st December, 2023.

Free lunch and refreshments will be provided for all guests, courtesy of Visible Recovery.

About this event

The aim of the Recovery Fair is to bring together 12 Step fellowships from across Brighton and connect them with the service providers and communities that they do so much to support.

Many people will be familiar with Alcoholics Anonymous, the 12 Step fellowship for recovery from alcoholism. Less well-known is that there are over 30 similar fellowships operating in the UK. These help tens of thousands of people to recover from a whole range of addictions and dependencies such as drugs, gambling, overeating, sex, and emotional or relationship dependencies. They change the lives of the people they support, their families and our whole community.

12 Step groups are proven to work, are free, are immediately available with no waiting lists, and have over 7000 meetings every week across the whole of the UK.

The fair is being organised by Visible Recovery on behalf of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on 12 Step Recovery. We are inviting representatives from all local service providers, and it will spark conversations about our collective response to addiction and dependencies.
